started as a consulting company, building custom solutions for our
Fortune 500 clients. We have implemented software solutions worldwide
using a variety of technologies for international banks, communication,
retail, and manufacturing companies.
Today, we are focusing on web based
solutions using the strengths of OpenPoint
as our framework. But our experience extends across the full system
development lifecycle and includes:
Requirements Analysis
By way of example,
the most complex requirements analysis FaxOne performed was for a
major international bank. FaxOne
was asked to review the bank’s Deal P&L reporting process and
recommend an approach to reengineer the process and integrate the current
systems. We conducted extensive interviews (in both London and New
York) and investigated a variety of different approaches. The key
deliverables were a detailed requirements analysis document and a
conceptual design. We also created a prototype system to demonstrate
the feasibility of our proposed reengineered process.
Database Design
An integral part of an OpenPoint
implementation
is designing the underlying database. We have extensive experience
in database modelling, ER diagrams, and database optimization.
We have concentrated on the database products that OpenPoint supports
(Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access and Sybase), but have experience with other DBMS's
as well.
Application
Development
Of the over 100 consulting
projects for which FaxOne has been engaged, the majority have had an
application development aspect. Our consultants have a broad range
of experience in a variety of programming languages, the current focus
being on Java. In addition, we have developed applications in Visual Basic,
PERL, and VBA (MS Access) among others. Beyond our knowledge
of languages, we are experienced in prototyping and RAD.
